When I turned 40, I decided it was time to do something about my health.  I was desperate and needed to lose my weight.  I was sick all the time even though I had my sugar A1C pretty much under control.  I knew that if I could drop 40 pounds I'd be so much better.

Well, I did and ended up losing a total of 52 pounds and lost 8 additional pounds when learning how to maintain my weight.  However, I learned quickly it takes a lot of work to maintain such a low weight, so I chose to go back up and gained those 8 pounds I lost.

I hope if you walk away with anything from my blog is this "you can do anything if you set your mind to it regardless of how hopeless it all seems."
