Can you even imagine that exercise can be a part of your daily existence
and without it you feel like you haven’t had a good day?
This is what happens to you when you decide to take your health into your hands. You strive to do what is best for yourself. It takes a few months for this to occur, it did for me at least.
When I first started my weight loss journey back in July, 2008, I started going to the gym 3 times a week and riding the recumbent bicycle. At first it was trying I didn’t like to exert what energy I had which wasn’t much being 60 pounds overweight and high blood sugar. What I noticed though over a few weeks is how good mentally and physically I started to feel. I would walk around the halls at work feeling proud of myself for doing what
I was doing.
Were there days I didn’t want to go? Oh yes, of course there were, but what I found was I felt miserable for not doing it. My confidence wasn’t bolstered nor did I have that positive attitude feeling about myself.
Exercise isn’t just for you to lose weight. Its to make YOU feel good, its to make your body feel better because its moving and its to make your blood pump through your veins better and more efficient.
So stop thinking of exercise as something “I have to do to lose weight”. Its so much more than that and don’t forget the person who is telling you this has been where you are today.
